IMMAA invites scholars, researchers, and practitioners to submit paper proposals for the 2026 International Conference in Macau. Situated at the crossroads of Eastern and Western cultures, with historical and contemporary influences from the global North and South, Macau offers a unique setting for scholarly dialogue on media management and economics from a cross-cultural perspective focused on connections, differences, and dynamics.
The conference will facilitate an invigorating exchange of research and thought leadership to expand and mature theory and support development in practice. IMMAA seeks to build lasting bridges between media research traditions in diverse contexts and cultures and encourage university–industry collaboration — with special focus on China and the broader Asian region.

Breakfast is optional at MOP 120 nett per person, per day, and can be added to any night.
“Nett” means the price is final — the 10% service charge and 5% government tax are already included, with nothing further added at check-out. These rates are specially discounted from standard public rates.

Yes. The conference is designed as an immersive, in-person experience to foster networking and scholarly dialogue. Online presentations are handled strictly as exceptions for those with genuine travel restrictions and must be requested specifically.
No. You are only required to prepare a presentation based on your accepted extended abstract. Full paper submission is not mandatory for participation.
This category is for students and provides full access to all academic sessions, specifically allowing you to formally present your accepted work. However, it does not include meals or social programs.
Yes. Early Bird registration (valid until September 1) grants full access to the entire program, including the ability to present your paper, all academic sessions, scheduled meals, and social networking events.
No. The registration fee represents the net amount that must be received by the conference account to confirm your registration. While the IMMAA bank transfer setup does not include any additional administrative fees or surcharges on our end, your own financial institution or intermediary banks involved in international transfers may apply their own service charges. We recommend confirming any potential payment charges with your bank at the time of remittance.
All registered and presented abstracts will be published in digital proceedings with an ISBN through the University of Saint Joseph.
Yes. Following the event, selected works may be invited to submit full papers for consideration in a special journal issue. This is an optional opportunity and is not a requirement for presenting at the conference.
To finalize your registration, you must submit your proof of payment (receipt in PDF, JPG, or PNG format) along with your personal details through the official Google Form. Remember that one individual submission is required per participant; if you are registering co-authors or accompanying persons, each must submit their own form separately.
