“Producing News for Diverse Audiences Across Different Media Today: German Public Service Broadcasting as a Case Study”. Organized by Castulus Kolo, President of Macromedia University of Applied Sciences as well as the President of the European Media Management Association.
Helge Fuhst will examine the strategies and challenges of creating engaging news content in today’s rapidly changing media world. His talk will address the state of European television today, what the challenges are of producing news for a politically and technologically diverse audience.
Helge Fuhst is Editor-in-Chief of the major nightly news show Tagesthemen, by Germany’s top TV organization ARD and deputy head of ARD’s Tagesschau, Germany’s longest-running and leading news show. Previously, he was in charge of ARD’s parliamentary channel “phoenix”, and was a producer at ARD’s Washington DC bureau.. He holds a Masters degree in politics and history from the University of Hannover and his doctoral degree in the same field from the University of Chemnitz.
He is an honorary professor at Macromedia University in Germany.
