Francisco Rolfsen Belda (Ph.D. in Production Engineering, University of São Paulo, 2009; M.A. in Communication Sciences, USP) is Associate Professor of Journalism at São Paulo State University (UNESP) and researcher in the Graduate Program in Media and Technology. He serves as Brazil’s co-leader of the Trust Project, an international initiative promoting transparency and trust in journalism, and is Director of Operations at Projor – Institute for the Development of Journalism. Dr. Belda has extensive experience as a reporter, editor, communication advisor, entrepreneur, and media business administrator. He was a visiting professor at Brandeis University (USA) and is a board member of the International Media Management Academic Association (IMMAA). He is a founding partner of Editora Casa da Árvore, a small publishing company focused on media innovation and scientific dissemination, and president of Parafuzo, an end-to-end services marketplace operating nationwide in Brazil. His expertise centers on journalism, digital media, ethics, and innovation, with a strong commitment to advancing trustworthy journalism and media development in Brazil and internationally.
